Welcome to
'The Friendship Class Online!'
A note from our teacher, Chuck Goodwin...
The Friendship Sunday School is a diverse group. We have members that range in age from the early 20s to the 50s. We feel that you should feel comfortable with your class no matter what your age. We have single, married and divorced members that regularly attend. Our goal is to grow our members in their relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through the teaching of The Holy Bible, The infallible Word of God. Our members are encouraged to participate in discussion but not pressured. I believe you will want to participate once you attend. We provide a laid back casual atmosphere for all. We are family and if you allow, we will make you a part of our family.
We are committed to getting outside the walls of the Church building to minister. FFBC is the charter for our local Boy Scout Troop 9009. We minister to the families of the scouts as well as allowing the scouts to help us minster in the community. Each Christmas for the past several years, our class has provided hot chocolate at the Christmas Merry Go Round one night while it is in operation. This has been a great opportunity for our class to show the Love of Jesus to the community as well as relay the true meaning of Christmas. We are also actively involved with Point University. We have provided tailgate food for their home football games to the students and parents. Food, fellowship and college football, what more could you ask for? This has allowed us to get to know the students and families, while welcoming them to the community. We are very excited with the opportunity God is allowing us have with Point University. We are also excited about another mission opportunity that God has put in front of us. We are planning to participate with the Hope Project. This is an international mission group that ministers in Nicaragua and Haiti. We are planning to take a several groups to Nicaragua this year. We encourage our members to show the Saving Grace that Jesus has so freely given them with those who do not know him.
We also enjoy class fellowships. We have Friday night game nights, summer outings on the lake and we just had our 3rd annual Sunday school on the river. At least once a year we gather at the river for the day. We fellowship with one another, eat and most of all have a Worship service that allows us to praise God and study His Word in a different setting. There is nothing better than singing praise, worshipping and diving into God’s word out in His creation. This is also a good time to encourage others to come and get to know us in a different environment.
Our normal Sunday class starts at 9:40 am. If you have children or youth, classes are provided for them as well. If you are looking for a Church family, I encourage you to give us a try. I know you won’t be disappointed! We would love to have you! We hope to see you soon. If you have any questions, my contact information is below. Please feel free to contact me anytime.
